Lauren just recently relocated to Orlando but she hails from Oakville Ontario Canada where she graduated Sheridan College, in the Music Theatre Performance Program. Lauren has traveled all over the US, Canada and overseas with her performing career and just recently finished a management and performing contract onboard Holland America Cruise Lines sailing in the Baltic, Alaska and Australia, New Zealand. Before that Lauren spent five years with the Walt Disney Company performing at Tokyo Disneyland as the lead in the Diamond Horseshoe Review shows and touring Japan with Disney Special Events and also performed on Disney Cruise Lines. Some of her favourite theatre credits include Little Shop of Horrors, Nunsense, Sweet Charity, Bye Bye Birdie and Anne of Green Gables. Alongside performing, Lauren has always been an active youth theatre teacher, choreographer, and director. She co-directed the nonprofit T3 Triple Threat Youth Mentors providing theatre classes for underprivileged youth in San Diego in 2013-2014. Lauren has also directed and choreographed many Broadway Jr Productions, variety shows, cabarets, musicals, and plays. In 2015 she was awarded best in choreography for her work in Durant Road Musical Theatre's performance at the Junior Theatre Festival in Atlanta for their production of Pirates of Penzance. Lauren teaches private voice, dance and drama lessons and is a certified ballet, tap and jazz teacher, certified personal trainer and Les Mills Group Exercise instructor. She is so thankful for this incredible opportunity with Pine Hills Community Performing Arts Center and is thankful to Pastor Mike, Maria and the board for their passion and determination with this incredible mission. Maria graduated from Flagler College with her degree in Theatre Education. Maria has been involved with theatre, both on and off stage, for the past 15 years. Originally from NJ, Maria has spent the past 8 years in St. Augustine, Fl, where she served as the Drama director/Thespian coordinator for Nease High School. Maria also spent time working with the Limelight Theatre in St. Augustine as a teaching artist and director. Maria has directed numerous musical and non-musical productions. When not on stage, Maria is back stage, directing, stage managing, building sets, or working on show tech. She is excited to be a part of the Pine Hills team.
